I know I'm behind on the beauty subcription box posts, but calm down - this only landed on my doorstep on Wednesday, so I don't think I'm doing too badly. I think this is only my second? Birchbox, but each month always looks like a decent selection of products. The February Birchbox has all bases covered - there's an eyeliner, lipstick, facial wash, shower gel, and even a hair oil. Not to mention the lifestyle extra this month of the cutest little bar of Green & Black's chocolate.
First up is the Gilchrist & Soames The London Collection Shower Gel, which I think some people might moan at, but I'll personally be using every drop of this. It's paraben free and has such a lovely and refreshing scent to it. There's also a sample tube of the Urbanveda Radiance Daily Facial Wash, which is vegan friendly (whatever that means) and is suppose to 'help protect skin from environmental damage'. This is a gel cleanser, so I'm not too sure if I'm brave enough to give it a go, gel cleansers usually just strip my skin.
What I was most excited to see was the Eyeko Skinny Liquid Eyeliner - an apparently favourite of Alexa Chung (vomit), but I'll be giving it a go none the less. I've not worn eyeliner yet this year, and I've heard such good things about Eyeko, so I'm going to attempt to master a cat-flick and all now. The second makeup item is the ModelCo Party Proof Lipstick, I got the shade 'Get Naked', which appears to be a lovely nude shade. This is right up my street, even though I don't tend to wear a lot of lippy, I'm all for more nude/natural shades.
The hair product in this box is the Beauty Protector Protect & Oil, which is a 'nourishing hair oil that battles UV rays, heat, and breakage' - all these things excite me as always have split ends. This is a fairly dinky sample, but it smells amazing and I can't wait to try it. Lastly, but by no means least, is the Green & Blacks 70% Chocolate - which I already know is amazing and G&B's is my favourite chocolate in the world. I usually go for the milk chocolate they do which has a higher cocoa solid percentage than most, which is extra yummy.
